Double and triple extendable semi-trailers
ABUS Kransysteme, based in Gummersbach, stands for high-quality crane solutions “Made in Germany.” The company develops and manufactures crane systems, that are used daily to move heavy loads in industrial facilities and workshops.
ABUS has been among our customers for a long time. However, we had never before put together such a large package for the crane specialist: Within just a few months, we handed over ten Faymonville TeleMAX semi-trailers to the ABUS fleet manager.
Vehicle needs bridged early on
We were able to support ABUS with semi-trailers from our existing stock pending the delivery of the custom-planned vehicles. This allowed us to bridge our customer’s vehicle requirements early on, prior to the delivery of the complete TeleMAX package. The package comprises eight double-extendable Faymonville Tele-Z-3L-AA vehicles and two triple-extendable Faymonville Tele-Z-3L-AAA vehicles.
TeleMAX for long and sensitive loads
Transporting crane girders, steel structures, and other long components requires a variable loading deck length, secure load handling, and excellent maneuverability. Faymonville’s TeleMAX series is designed precisely for these requirements.
The vehicles supplied to ABUS are 3-axle semi-trailers featuring hydraulic steering. All axles are equipped with a hydraulic-mechanical forced steering system that remains active whether driving forwards or in reverse. This ensures the vehicle remains easy to handle, even when transporting long loads in confined spaces.
Double and triple extendable
Eight of the ten TeleMAX semi-trailers are double-extendable. This version provides ABUS with a robust platform for transporting long crane and steel components. The loading deck measures approximately 13,600 mm and can be extended by about 15,800 mm. With a gross weight of 55,000 kg, a fifth-wheel load of 25,000 kg, and a payload of approximately 42,900 kg, the vehicles offer the necessary capacity for daily operations.
For particularly long loads, the fleet is complemented by two triple-extendable TeleMAX semi-trailers. In this version, the loading deck also measures approximately 13,600 mm in its retracted state and can be extended by about 22,200 mm. These vehicles also feature a gross weight rating of 55,000 kg, with a payload of approximately 41,200 kg.
Faymonville quality down to the last detail
The specifications reflect Faymonville’s commitment to quality: Robust steel construction, well-engineered controls, and durable surface protection. Features include BPW axles, TPMS, rear-axle steering via cable and radio remote control, and a BEKA-MAX central lubrication system. The entire chassis undergoes HRM metallization and treatment with ZINACOR 850—key factors ensuring long-term operational readiness in daily transport service.

The delivery of the ten Faymonville TeleMAX trailers builds upon a long-standing partnership with ABUS Kransysteme. Our customer now has a broad fleet of specialized vehicles at their disposal for transporting long crane and steel components—vehicles designed in terms of configuration, equipment, and quality for daily operation.
