Delivery to Ebert Erdbau – Schwarzmüller 4-axle low-loader trailer

For the reliable transport of heavy construction machinery, Ebert Erdbau will be using a 4-axle low-loader trailer from Schwarzmüller from now on. The delivery of this vehicle was special for us in several ways. Semi-trailer tractors and trucks are visitors to our premises every day. We occasionally see tractors as loads on one of our trailers – but seeing them as a towing vehicle during a vehicle pickup was a first for us, too.

Low-loader trailer as an exhibit at BAUMA

The low-loader trailer that Ebert Erdbau put into operation was also something special: Just a few weeks ago, the vehicle was on display at BAUMA, right next to our own booth – presented by our neighbors and colleagues from Schwarzmüller. We called, reserved and bought the vehicle. It didn’t take long to find the right new owner for the 4-axle vehicle in Ebert Erdbau. The technical details impressed us just as much as they did Mr. Ebert!

Versatile trailer with extensive features

The low-loader trailer offers a payload of approximately 30,860 kg. At maximum load, a loading height of only approximately 870 mm is possible. Height reserves are a crucial factor, especially when transporting excavators and other construction equipment. The offset loading area is equipped with two pairs of wheel recesses. This provides flexibility in loading height and, of course, ensures secure support when transporting vehicles with large wheel diameters. The slope at the rear serves as support when driving onto the trailer, but also features an integrated excavator arm recess. The recess is approximately 2,300 mm long and is located between the side members. This design offers additional flexibility when loading and protects the loading area.

Flexibility through hydraulic ramp technology

The hydraulically foldable, two-part steel ramps are variably adjustable in width – from a spacing of approximately 250 mm to a maximum ramp width of 3,000 mm. The moderate angle of approximately 10 degrees allows safe and comfortable access. Two hydraulically operated outriggers at the rear provide additional stability during loading and unloading. The overall width of the vehicle is approximately 2,550 mm. Using side extensions, the transport of vehicles up to 3,000 mm is possible.

Robust construction & practical equipment

The outer frame and end plates are painted in RAL 9005 jet black. In combination with the spray galvanization it offers optimal corrosion protection. The installed SAF air suspension axles with drum brakes (each with a load capacity of 11 tons) ensure reliable chassis performance. Central lubrication strips, full-fledged five-chamber LED taillights, and extendable warning signs for over-width transports up to 3,000 mm complete the equipment.

We wish the Ebert Erdbau team safe journeys!
