Vehicle combination goes to the north
Volvo truck and ES-GE trailer for Schröder GmbH & Co. KG
At last year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles, Mr Brockmann from Diedrich Schröder GmbH & Co. KG approached us. While the original interest was exclusively focussed on our tandem trailer, it quickly became apparent that the purchasing manager would like to expand the fleet of the construction and civil engineering company with a complete combination of truck and trailer. To make it short: 6 months later we delivered. In April we handed over two new vehicles to the company from Bremervörde. A look at the company’s history reveals that the company, with over 200 employees and a 70-year company history, combines a wealth of experience and extensive know-how under one roof. We are pleased that we were able to implement the project successfully and professionally.
Fassi F485RA.2 xe-dynamic
The model F485RA.2 xe-dynamic from Fassi has been used on some of our tractor units and has proven itself in the past. At this year’s BAUMA we exhibited a vehicle from Mercedes-Benz with a loading crane of the same type.
Whether behind the cab of a tractor or at the rear of a truck – the supplied crane by Fassi leaves nothing to be desired. Equipment features of the crane device include u.a. XF and XP – “Extra Fast” and “Extra Power”. The stability control “FSC – Fassi Stability Control” is on board as well as numerous optional extras such as the comfortable remote control with display.
Volvo FH4 with steering axle
The chassis of the crane truck comes from Volvo. The 3-axle FH4 truck has a maximum engine output of 345 kW (469 hp) and a maximum torque of 2,346 Nm. Between the loading crane at the rear and the driver’s cab, the chassis picks up a low-construction container flatbed with a loading height of approx. 1,020 mm (unloaded). The loading area is e.g. equipped with container locks, which can be pulled out to a total width of approx. 3,000 mm and are suitable for the transport of 20 ‘containers.
