MAX Trailer MAX810 for Gertzen Gruppe
Fleet upgrade with pendle axle technology
Gertzen Gruppe is broadly positioned in the field of heavy-duty logistics. Whether mobile cranes, crawler cranes, heavy haulage, work platforms or truck recovery and towing services – the company regularly moves large, heavy and demanding loads. Accordingly, the requirements placed on the vehicle technology used are high.

Delivered as ordered
Gertzen has been part of our customer base for decades. During discussions about the planned fleet expansion, it therefore quickly became clear what mattered: a high-performance pendle-axle semi low-loader for heavy loads, confined operating sites and changing transport lengths. With the MAX Trailer MAX810, we were able to offer exactly the right vehicle for this requirement.

MAX810 in 2+6 configuration
The delivered MAX Trailer MAX810 is designed as an 8-axle semi low-loader in 2+6 configuration. All axles are hydro-mechanically forced-steered. The construction and the pendle-axle system ensure high load capacity, very good manoeuvrability and even load distribution during demanding transport operations.
From a technical perspective, MAX Trailer permits an axle load of 13,740 kg per pendle axle at 30 km/h; for speeds of up to 80 km/h, a maximum of 12,000 kg per axle line applies in Germany.

Versatile for heavy and long loads
One of the key features of the vehicle is its double telescopic extendability. In its basic version, the loading platform measures approx. 11,000 mm and can technically be extended by approx. 8,200 mm plus an additional approx. 7,700 mm. This allows the semi-trailer to be adapted flexibly to different load lengths – a clear advantage for changing operations in heavy haulage, crane logistics and project business.

Equipped for demanding transport tasks
In addition to the pendle-axle technology and double telescopic extendability, the MAX810 features extensive equipment for daily operation. This includes, among other things, a hydraulically liftable/lowerable and detachable gooseneck, pin-and-lug couplings, stake pocket strips, a TPMS tyre pressure monitoring system and BEKA-MAX central lubrication systems. Gertzen chose not to order the optionally available hydraulic ramps.

Suited to Gertzen’s range of operations
With a payload of more than 96 tonnes, high-performance pendle-axle technology and a variable loading platform length, the MAX810 fits into Gertzen Gruppe’s range of operations. The vehicle is designed for heavy, bulky and changing transport tasks and provides the flexibility required for daily use in the heavy-duty sector. At the same time, the delivery is a good example of the targeted expansion of our offering in the upper heavy-duty segment.
We are pleased to continue our long-standing cooperation and wish the Gertzen Gruppe team safe travels at all times!
